Laparoscopic Surgery

Minimally Invasive Surgery for Faster Recovery

The Department of Laparoscopic Surgery offers minimally invasive surgical solutions for a wide range of conditions. These keyhole procedures result in smaller incisions, reduced pain, shorter hospital stay and quicker return to daily activities.

Common procedures include laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, fundoplication surgery for achalasia, surgery for stomach and intestinal conditions and colorectal procedures. Advanced thoracoscopic procedures are also performed for lung and mediastinal conditions.

The unit has achieved significant milestones, including performing one of the early laparoscopic surgeries for oesophageal carcinoma in Western India. With experienced surgeons and modern equipment, patients benefit from safe and effective minimally invasive treatment.
